Thankful For

There are so many things I am thankful for: my friends, my family, my house, my brothers, my mother, my dad, my drive (sometimes), those who have impacted my life, my violin, my community, smoothie king, my creator, my life.

I'm not a big fan of material things, because they tend to malfunction or blowup when I'm around, but I am really grateful for my memory. Even though it too can break down, it's nice to be able to reflect on what I have done throughout my life and get the chance to appreciate it all. Sometimes, I'll miss my old friends from Ohio. We don't keep in touch a lot except through mail that will have mixed CDs and letters filled with Medina randomness. Even though I miss my friends, these small forms of communication allows me to be grateful for the time I did get to spend there. It's still hard to fathom that I've lived in North Carolina for two years, and I know that in a couple of months we're all opening up a new chapter in our lives, but I think one of the things we can be most appreciative of is our ability to reflect, see where we are today, and figure out what we can do to improve tomorrow.
